Hello, I’m Anne Whatley-Dale
Founder and driving force behind livepresent
My late brother used to say “You’re just like a bee, always buzzing around ‘doing'”.
Health Consultant. Corporate Consultant, Trainer and Coach. Speaker. Writer. Mentor. work-health-life Strategist.
Like most of us, I take a lot on, and play many roles in life. I cherish being ‘Mum’!
I’m passionate about people and inspired by what we’re capable of. That’s why I believe we all have a shot at being the best we can be and living the best life for as long as possible.
At age 7, I sustained a severe head injury when hit by a car, and I know how lucky I am to have made a full recovery.
At the time, I had no idea it would set me on a quest to find that elusive point of balance between good emotional and physical health. Or that it would lead me to merge that quest into my work as I forged my own path in business.
As a girl destined to be a Vet, I marvelled at how my studies led me to focus on people. Yet I trusted my instincts and transitioned from science to health consulting and self-development.
That opened the door to speaking and training and then corporate training, coaching and consulting. Customer Service. Selling. Communication. Challenging Conversations. Eventually, I brought my passions together under the umbrella of corporate health and personal wellness.
I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients and people across all sectors in various industries. And that includes 25 years with the automotive industry. It’s been – and still is – a privilege and pleasure, and the results continue to inspire me.
It’s also always been in my DNA to inject a focus on wellness, emotional health and communication into the core of every program, product and project. I see these three things as vital for success in life and work – whether I’m working with people to meet sales targets, deliver front-line customer service or manage complaints on the verge of turning legal.
This core focus has supported me and kept me healthy through this fantastic journey – and will continue to. It’s got me through work, health and life challenges, crazy work and travel schedules and lack of sleep. Plus, it’s helped me deal with the downs and ups of juggling life and running a business – for many years as a single Mum. Most of all, it’s allowed me to stay energised and engaged in my life and work.
In 2020 I lost my brother to cancer. At the time, I didn’t realise it was the last in a long list of events in my life and family that have had a profound impact.
As a result, I gained new learnings and insights into the connection between emotional and physical health, and communication. Plus, it deepened my understanding of the myriad and interconnectedness of relationships in our lives – and how to make them work for us. At work. Outside of work.
The pandemic and everything that has gone with it, continues to add layers of insights.
So, I am as passionate as ever to share what I’ve learned – and keep learning – to inspire, encourage, educate and empower people to be their best selves.
And when I take a break? It’s usually out on the track around Perth’s Swan River, at my favourite cafe bookshop, or with my son. Or doing the same in my second home – Hobart. All as I prepare for my next sporting adventure!
Why work with me?
I’m a People Builder. My approach is real-world, not theory. Evidence-based. Practical. I’ll challenge you or your team to look at your world differently. To have the courage and trust to do what’s uncomfortable or different. All while helping you find better ways to live and work.
And I aim to tread the path with you every step of the way.
